Erika Cedeño (Viola)

Erika Cedeño is a passionate and charismatic, venezuelan violist inspired by the connecting and expressive power of music. Her performances as soloist and chamber musician, lead her through diverse Halls and Chamber Music Festivals in Germany, Europe and Latin America. Erika is also a very experienced orchestra player, in 2020 she played as a member of the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken-Kaiserslautern and she is regularly invited to play in orchestras such as Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe, Philharmonie Baden Baden and Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz. She studied her “Bachelor of Music” degree at the Musikhochschule Lübeck, with Prof. Barbara Buntrock and Prof. Lena Eckels and for the “Master of Music” degree at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg with Prof. Wolfram Christ, which Erika finished in 2019 with high distinction. In 2017 she was awarded with the prize “Outstanding Artist of the Year” by the Lions Club Lübeck. As a member of the “Latin Strings” Quartet, she has performed in several cities in Germany with a program dedicated to latin american composers. Her enthusiasm for the chamber music inspired her to found the Festivals “Schulutuper Kammermusiktage” in Lübeck and „Badisches KammermusikFest“ in Bühl, Germany.
